Faculty Advisors/Collaborators:
Robert Wallace
Robert Wallace is currently a GTRI researcher that assists in the two courses that I teach including HumaniTech and GaTech4Wildlife. Robert helps oversee projects with connections in 5 different continents.
Scientific Collaborators & Alumnus
Dr. Claire Higgins
Dr. Claire Higgins is a faculty member of Bioengineering at Imperial College London that has assisted with morphological and compositional analysis of elephant trunk skin and hair. She is an expert on Vibrissal hair and scar tissue and has assisted with experiments on elephant trunk tissue.
Postdoc & Grad Collaborators:
Ben Seleb
Ben Seleb is currently a PhD student in Saad Bhamla' s lab at Georgia Tech. Ben is the TA for the GaTech4Wildlife Course at Georgia Tech and helps find new projects and lead new projects. He is an expert on conservation technology and is working towards expanding the scope of what we know how technology can help stop the sixth mass extinction on our planet.
Cassie Shriver
Cassie Shrive is currently a PhD student in Quantitative Biosciences being co-advised by Dr. David Hu and Dr. Young Hui. Cassie has been working on Conservation Technology and animal biomechanics projects since her undergrad at Duke and is working with me on advancing large mammalian biomechanics and Conservation Technology at Tech.
Caroline Greiner
Caroline Greiner is currently a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. Caroline is a Bio-inspired design expert and has been interested in leveraging Bio-inspired design to high school and undergraduate students and is working with Dr. Moore and myself on Conservation Tech education.
Thomas Day
Thomas Day is a PhD student in the school of physics studying with Dr. Peter Yunker on several different projects in the physics of living systems space. Currently Tom is working with Krishma and myself on entanglement in large biological structures including the rhino horn and elephant trunk skin.
Undergraduate Researcher Collaborators:
Undergraduate Research Alumnus:
John
John is an undergraduate student at UTSA that is working on an REU project focused on understanding the force-displacement relationship of the elephant trunk during elongation.
